It’s hard to believe our current POTUS, Donald Trump, is still allowed autonomous control over his Twitter account, especially considering all of the damage and controversy that he has caused with his flippant outbursts over the years. Nonetheless, it would appear that aside from running the United States he still has time to let the world know his two cents, even when it comes to matters that don’t involve him. Here are just a few of the worst – just in case you needed reminding!
1. Barack Obama Birth Certificate, 6 August 2012.
That’s right, Donald Trump at one point tried to prove that Barack Obama was not a natural United States resident. Of course, his plan didn’t quite work out because he was proven to be talking nonsense, which the public should have realised considered his misuse of the parenthesis around ‘extremely credible source’, that made a mockery of him and the theory in the first place.

2. Arianna Huffington Tweet, 28 August 2012.
In what turned out to be the first of many attacks on women regarding their looks, in 2012 Donald Trump laid in to Huffington Post mogul, Arianna Huffington, using her ex-husbands sexuality as a weapon against her, which only served to make him look more shallow.

3. Odd opinions on Celebrities, 17 October 2012.
In a rather bizarre turn of events, when news surfaced of actress Kristen Stewart’s affair with director Rupert Sanders, Donald Trump went seemingly berserk and reeled off a whole list of reasons why Robert Pattinson shouldn’t take her back. This one had the whole world completely perplexed as to why he should care so much.

4. Disbelief in Scientific Fact, 6 November 2012.
Donald Trump has always been a denier of climate change and global warming and this began years ago when he expressed his bizarre conspiracy theories about it on Twitter.

5. Global Warming Mockery, 7 November 2012.
Trump even went as far as to make an open mockery of the subject of global warming by saying that it was so cold in New York that the city could do with it being warmer…

6. Badly worded comments on 9/11, 11 September 2013.
There really are so many things wrong with this tweet, not least the fact that Trump seems to have made such a terrible event revolve around himself. That isn’t even taking in to consideration his horrifically poor choice of wording.

7. Comments on Ebola, 1 August 2014.
As things predictably went from bad to worse, Trump then decided to weigh in on the Ebola crisis by saying that it was aid workers’ own faults if they chose to go to Africa to help and then contracted the virus. The wording actually states they ‘must suffer the consequences!’.

8. Covfefe, 31 May 2017.
Perhaps most people’s favourite comedy Trump tweet, May 2017 saw a rather odd typo from his account (that was later deleted) become and internet sensation. Hillary Clinton even got involved by tweeting “People in covfefe houses shouldn’t throw covfefe”.

9. London Terror Attack, 4 June 2017.
On a more sinister and troubling note, this year actually saw one of Trump’s worst ever tweets when he tried to make the tragic London Bridge Terror Attack in to a debate about gun ownership.

10. North Korea, 11 August 2017.
Perhaps the most worrying (and currently ongoing) of all Trump’s tweets are those concerning North Korea, where he appears to be goading and forcing King Jong Un’s hand when it comes to nuclear weapons. We can only hope this situation is diffused before irreparable damage is done.
