So we all know that Margot Robbie is one of the brightest talents to emerge on the silver screen in recent years, not to mention the fact that she is drop-dead stunningly beautiful. But what about the girl behind the gorgeous face? Well, as it turns out, behind the Hollywood persona she is just as normal as the rest of us and we couldn’t love her more for it. 1. Until recently, she lived in a house share in South London with her friends.
And we’re not talking some posh house in Belgravia. Oh no, she chose Clapham, otherwise known as the party Mecca for Aussie travellers.

2. She can regularly be found hanging out in the park.
I mean, goodness knows what’s going on here with the ferret and the can of beer but you have to admit Margot looks right at home just chilling out on Clapham Common.

3. She isn’t afraid to eat McDonalds.
Not only is she normal enough not to turn her nose up at a Big Mac, she has even been spotted at the ‘Golden Arches’ looking worse for wear with a hangover and not giving a damn about it. We love you Margot.

4. She’s a member of Greenpeace.
Margot certainly doesn’t take her newfound fame for granted and is a loyal member of Greenpeace, helping to spread awareness across the world.

5. She has formed her own film production company, LuckyChap Productions, with her husband and friends.
What better way to take control of your own career than starting your own company? This is exactly what Margot must have thought and she and her husband Tom Ackerley (along with two other friends) are now working on a biopic of competitive ice-skater Tonya Harding, who’ll be played by Robbie, and will be released in 2018.

6. She loves rap music.
Not only this, but she was able to successfully recount a Lil Wayne song in an interview with Elle magazine in 2015, which gained her huge kudos and respect.

7. She doesn’t take herself too seriously.
As various movie cameos (The Big Short for instance, as seen below) and interviews have shown, Margot certainly isn’t afraid to play an exaggerated version of herself. Other actors should definitely take a leaf out of her book in this respect because it only goes further towards proving that she is one of the coolest girls on the planet.

8. Her wedding looked amazing.
Given that she is now a Hollywood A-Lister, having a low-key wedding was not going to be easy but somehow Margot managed it by escaping to Byron Bay in Australia where she married her long-term boyfriend Tom Ackerley and shared the special day with 50 guests (also offering them free tattoos as a memento… but that’s another blog post).

9. She represents strong women on and off screen.
Even though we all loved Suicide Squad, Margot has shown us that there is much more to Harley Quinn than meets the eye, especially given the fact that she is the only one to have a confirmed spin-off movie in the pipeline. Margot is definitely flying the flag for strong independent women and we’re guessing this isn’t going to stop here.

10. She’s genuine.
It takes a lot to gain the real respect of an established movie director, but speaking about Margot, The Legend of Tarzan director David Yates said, there’s “something very true about her”. This speaks volumes about her reputation in the industry, which is gaining more and more traction and of course is very much the exact reason her fan list grows longer every day. Mark my words; this girl is here to stay.
