It’s fair to say that us normal folk could never understand the intricate world of being a celebrity. This is definitely true in the respect of settling down and marrying the one you love because thankfully prenuptial agreements aren’t generally something we have to worry about. However, it is a different story for the A-Listers and my word some of them know how to do a number on each other. Here are just a few of the most extreme…
1. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
It turns out one of our favourite celebrity couples, The Timberlakes, have a ‘no cheating’ clause in their prenup which would see the offending party pay the other $500,000. Biel also inferred in this agreement that she’d have Justin’s children if he remained faithful, so with one baby down (Silas Randall), we can only presume things are going well.

2. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones
Another celebrity wife who seems determined not to allow her husband to cheat is Catherine Zeta-Jones, who got her lawyers to pen a ballsy prenup for her marriage to Michael Douglas that would see her receive $2.8 million in the event of the couple divorcing and $5 million extra if he were to cheat.

3. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
This one still hurts to talk about, as 2016 saw our beloved ‘Brangelina’ go their separate ways. In terms of their prenuptial agreement it seems that Angelina wasn’t keen to have one at all but it was Brad who thought it the right thing to do. In a bittersweet reality kick for Brad though, the prenup doesn’t go in to any details about money but states solely that in the event of divorce full custody would be awarded to Angelina.

4. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian
It seems that Kanye might be a little bit more easy going with prenups than in other areas of his life seeing as he has pretty much said Kim can have whatever she wants if they divorce. This would include $1 million for every year they’re married, their LA mansion and all of the millions of dollars worth of gifts he’s given her.

5. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban
These guys seem so sweet together so here’s hoping nothing ever happens but if it does, the prenuptial terms – $640,000 for Keith for every year of their marriage to be exact – lie solely on him never touching drugs again. Quite a good deterrent if you ask me!

6. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
This definitely has to be one of the celebrity divorce stories of the decade, wherein the most talked about Hollywood couple, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, saw their 5 year marriage come to an end in 2012 with him having to pay her $3 million for each of those years. The reason for their divorce has been widely speculated to involve his link to scientology but is still factually unknown.

7. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom
Sadly it turns out that this prenup will soon come in to play as Khloe and Lamar’s divorce was finalised in October 2016. As of this time Khloe will receive $25,000 per month in spousal support for half the length of their marriage (7 years), along with half a million dollars for every year. Randomly enough there is also a clause that states Khloe and her family will receive lifetime passes for the LA Lakers.

8. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
Ok we get it; if we were the CEO of Facebook we’d want to protect our assets too. However, the most shocking thing about the Zuckerbergs’ prenup is that there might not be one! It appears that the cute couple, who dated at Harvard before he made his $20 billion fortune, used to write relationship contracts, but the status of their prenuptial pact is completely unknown.

9. Tiger and Elin Woods
We’re betting that Elin Woods was thanking her lucky stars for such an ironclad prenup when it turned out that her husband was the cheat of the century, notching up over 120 affairs during their 5-year marriage. The Swedish beauty was consequently granted a $110 million settlement, which doesn’t make up for it I’m sure but certainly must go towards easing the pain.

10. Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Yes sadly even Queen Bey and her man Jay-Z are part of the prenp club, wherein Beyonce will automatically receive $5 million for every child she bares if they divorce, along with $1 million for every year of their marriage (which so far tots up to 8 years).
