It’s that time of year again, when everyone hits the January blues and decides to get back on the fitness train. Luckily enough it has never been easier to get back in shape thanks to the wide range of fitness bloggers out there, ready to help us turn our lives around. Here are just a few of the best ones to follow in 2017:
1. ‘The Body Coach’ – Joe Wicks
Already a huge phenomenon with his ‘Lean in 15’ cookery books, loveable Essex Boy Joe Wicks is also a personal trainer, which has unsurprisingly made him a YouTube hit with his short and snappy HIIT workouts.

5. ‘Nerd Fitness’ – Steve Kamb
One of the more unique fitness blogs out there at the moment, Steve Kamb launched his blog ‘Nerd Fitness’ to appeal to all of those who feel that they don’t fit the typical mould of health and beauty, not to mention the millions of people who share his love of video games. Now, years later, he has become something of an icon for helping people get themselves back in to shape, whilst also being proud of the fact that they class themselves as a bit of a ‘nerd’.

6. ‘Lazy Girl Running’ – Laura Fountain
You’ve got to respect someone who’s honest about the fact that they haven’t always loved running and this is why Laura Fountain’s blog ‘Lazy Girl Running’ has become such a success. Even though she’s a qualified personal trainer and running coach, Laura makes no qualm about admitting she has down days and this makes her all the more appealing to her fans.

7. ‘The Grit Doctor’ – Ruth Field
Although somewhat of a basic blog in terms of its appearance, Ruth Field has some really great things to say with her direct wit and hilarious charm, which has resulted in two best-selling books ‘Run Fat B!tch Run’ and ‘Get You Sh!t Together’.

8. ‘Lunges and Lycra’ – Charlotte Thomas and Emma Lax
This is a great one for people (especially ladies) who like to work out together. Best friends Charlotte Thomas and Emma Lax have gone to great lengths to launch a site that isn’t patronising and appeals to the masses of women who enjoy working out together. There is also a bit of a feminist edge, which I personally think works fantastically.

9. ‘Lipstick Lettuce & Lycra’ – Gemma Seager
Another blogger on the more honest side is Gemma Seager whose aim is to show that fitness doesn’t have to take over your life and can be enjoyed in moderation, along with many other things. Gemma is also a vintage lifestyle blogger so, as you can imagine, has a lot of fashion and style tips to share as well.

Directed specifically at plus-size women who like to run, Julie Creffield has made a name for herself with her immensely popular blog ‘The Fat Girl’s Guide to Running’. Posting about her own personal relationship with running (and the fact that anyone of any size can do it) has obviously done wonders for Julie and she is now even employed as an inspirational speaker.
