Beauty Trends For 2017

1. Glossy Is In

Last year was more on matte lipsticks but now lip gloss is back to have the spotlight. And this year it is not just about glossy in the lips but even with the eyes and skin as well. Add a little shine at the top of your favorite eye shadow for a dramatic eyes effect like Kylie’s. You can also use petroleum jelly to have the same effect or just use your favorite lip gloss to add that shine.

2. Glitters are Forever

Glittery makeup is in for this year bringing back the 90s trend. The beauty trend for this year is either natural look or adding a statement like glitter lips. Add glitters on your bottom lash line or use eyeliner pencil to make your eyes pop. Make your lips look extra cool by adding a layer of glitter above your favorite lipstick to create a different effect.

6. Less Contouring

There will be less contouring this year and more of highlighting the natural look. A less-is-more makeup will be good. Replace the chiseled and heavy contouring to a slight blush to have a fresh and light look. You can use bronzer or highlight if you need to contour your face.

7. Wine-stained lips

Red lips will be forever fave but this year’s trend will be dark berry colors. According to Sam Fine – the Creative Makeup Director for Fashion Fair, “Wine looks good on a variety of skin tones, making it one of the easiest colors to pull off.” Match it light foundation, nude eyeshadow and a mascara.

Go back to the basics and just line your upper and lower lashes with liner but smudge it a bit using your fingertips. Perfect makeup is not what we aim for this year, so it is okay that your eyeliner is not on fleek.
