It hasn’t gone unnoticed by any of us that Kristen Stewart isn’t a huge fan of smiling, even at the best of times. But surely if you are wearing the most expensive couture outfits in the world there is a reason to think life has turned out pretty well? No?

1. Chanel Metiers d’Art Fashion Show 2013, Dallas, Texas.
If we’d just been named the new face of Chanel we would have requested a better introductory outfit so in a way we can see why she might be miserable here. But still… think ‘bigger picture’ Kristen.

It’s pretty obvious that Kristen is feeling a million miles from her comfort zone in this picture. But surely a smile would help to warm up that icy exterior?

So here it is, Kristen’s first proper campaign, and they’ve dressed her as a 1920s cowboy. Ok Kristen we’ll let you off the miserable face this time.

Ok we’ve got to admit that, as couture goes, this is pretty terrible so Kristen can’t be blamed for not looking overly thrilled. But you’ve got to fake it occasionally to keep the designers happy sometimes, Kristen. It’s how the fashion world works!

5. ‘Chanel Supermarket’ Campaign Shoot, Elle US, 2014.
Ok we get it, the whole idea of wearing Chanel to the supermarket is pretty perplexing but you’re supposed to be an actress Kristen. Make it work!

The new addition of a bright and bold copper-red crop doesn’t seem to have perked Kristen up one bit. Shame.

Being at the Cannes Film Festival, not to mention wearing an amazing Chanel jumpsuit whilst doing it, would be enough to make most people raise a bit of a smile. But not our Kristen.

You’d think that Kristen would find some joy in being able smoke, drink and gamble whilst displaying this couture outfit on Chanel’s ‘Casino Catwalk’ but no, they still can’t get a rise out of her.
